Setting Up A New Email Folder
- Step One: Click on File, then New Folder, as shown below:

- Step Two: A pop-up menu will then appear, in which you'll be asked to name the folder and to indicate its location. Once you've done that, click the OK button.
That's all there is to it!
By the way, you can also delete folders, change the names and move them elsewhere.

Setting Up A New Message Filter
- Step One: Click on Edit, then Message Filters, as shown below:

- Step Two: A pop-up menu will then appear, in which you'll be asked to select New or Edit an existing filter.
There are also other options there, including logging the filter use or deleting any of existing filters. Sometimes alterations need to be made to the filters, especially for a discussion list in which part of the title changes or something similar.
Note: You might consider logging the filter use, at least at first, so that you can track the filtering, especially if an email gets filtered but isn't in the folder where it belongs. Occasionally some fine tuning may be needed to the message filter information to aim it in the right direction.
Once you've made your selections, click the OK button at the bottom of the pop-up box.
- Step Three: Another pop-up menu will then appear for Filter Rules, in which you'll be asked to name the filter (or edit the name) and to indicate its location. You can create a new folder name there for your message filter or choose an existing folder.

Once you've done that, click the OK button.
Repeat that procedure for each of the message filters you'd like to set up. That's it!
